HealthONE EMS coordinators have implemented a program – modeled after Military challenge coins – to recognize EMS providers for superior performance in a variety of situations. Called EPIC (Excellent Performance in Care) Coins, the medallions represent the attributes of ancient Greek gods, with a picture of the specific god on one side and the HealthONE logo on the reverse. The god and the qualities that they exemplify are based on the HealthONE attributes communicated in our system philosophy:
- Athena: Dedication
- Apollo: Passion
- Hermes: Precision
- Zeus: Commitment
- Asclepius: Expertise
Bennett Fire's Tim McCawley Receives EPIC Coin
Congratulations to Bennett Fire's Tim McCawley on his EPIC Coin for Advancement of IT in EMS along the I-70 Corridor . Pictured with McCawley are Dr. Erica Douglass and Dr. Gilbert Pineda of The Medical Center of Aurora.
If you know of EMS individuals and crews that are deserving of recognition for a praiseworthy situation, please let your facility’s EMS Coordinator know.
